About Dubai Islands Beach
The Dubai Islands are a relatively new area in Dubai, but they have a very exciting future (you can check the vision of the project via link).
Here you’ll find a public beach with clean sand, modern toilets and shower cabins, a perfect spot for water sports, and walking paths for a stroll.
The beach is located near Dubai International Airport, so you can see planes take off very closely. So if you prefer tranquility, it’s better to consider beach located further away from the airport.
The lifeguards are on duty.
What to do at Dubai Islands Beach
- Here you can explore the Arabian Gulf by renting kayaks or paddleboards.
- You can also visit a nearby diving center, where you can dive in beautiful spots nearby. Diving sessions will cost you from 350 to 1400 AED ($95-380).
- At the area, you can join a beach volleyball or football match.
- If you are with pets, this public beach is a great choice. Here you’ll find a pet friendly separate area where you can walk and swim with your pet.
Note that campfires on the beach are not allowed.

Restaurants near Dubai Islands Beach
Dubai Islands Beach is not yet fully developed. Because of this, you won’t find many restaurants, shops, or cafes here yet. However, there is a bunch of cafes and restaurants in the area already: here you can find Starbucks and Baskin Robins spots, and a few restaurants like UNO MAS or Sands.

Not far from the beach is the Sands Beach Club restaurant at Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai. It’s a large and spacious, and the prices relatively affordable.
Expect to spend from 50 to 150 AED ($13-39) per dish here. We recommend trying the Hamour Fillet with steamed broccoli, cauliflower puree, and lemon butter sauce, as well as their signature burger. They also offer both meat-based and vegan/vegetarian options.
