JBR Beach

by Cyril Kardashevsky

JBR Beach is situated in the heart of the city, within the Dubai Marine District. JBR Beach was called so due to the name of its developer company. It’s easy to reach, well-maintained, and is a popular destination both among tourists and locals.

JBR Beach stretches for approximately 1 mile, making it one of Dubai’s most comfortable and popular public beaches. In 2015, Dubai authorities revamped this beach, turning it from wild to wonderful, transforming it into to a standout attraction in the city.

jbr beach

JBR Beach stands out as one of Dubai’s most favorite public beaches.

This beach is always bustling with visitors, mainly tourists. It’s clean and has all the essential amenities. What’s neat about this place is that you can sunbathe on the lush green grass too, as there are designated spots in the park for that purpose.

You’ll find lifeguards on duty, along with restrooms, changing cabins, and showers. Local beach clubs offer sun loungers and parasols, ensuring your comfortable stay. The area is regularly patrolled by the police for additional security.

JBR Beach features fine sand that’s perfect for a leisurely stroll.

The beach boasts fine, golden-hued sand that’s soft to lie on and enjoyable to walk on. Families often choose to visit JBR Beach, as children really love playing in this sand. You might also see some camels right on the beach, encouraging beach visitors to experience camel rides.

jbr marina beach dubai

The coastline at JBR is shallow, and because of that the water is consistently warm and inviting.

The entrance to the water is very smooth, requiring a few minutes’ walk to reach chest-deep water. The coast is very shallow, so the water here is always warm, and sometimes even almost hot.

jbr open beach

JBR Beach, situated in the heart of Dubai, always buzzes with a lively crowd and a festive atmosphere.

The bottom of the sea is safe, covered only with smooth sand that is free of stones. The water is clear, although not entirely transparent. You won’t find any seaweed or sea urchins here, only fish.

While you can relax on your own towel, you should note that there’s no natural shade available on the beach.

Note. It’s worth noting that pets are not permitted to swim at JBR Beach.
